To wonder what was the point in the gratuitous well endowed washer woman was all about in Poland's Eurovision entry

Given probably the 80% of the males watching Eurovision are gay and the rest are only watching under duress, what was the busty washer woman all about?

pobble Mumford guy was Malta? And The Netherlands went for The Civil Wars.

Nerf · 10/05/2014 22:17

Bloody Poland. Dh has been all excited (and trying to hide it) since seeing a preview.

Caitlin17 · 10/05/2014 22:20

Ha ha, mine was hiding in his study to avoid it and missed them! Why didn't you call me through he asked?

Bearbehind · 10/05/2014 22:22

Missed 'them' being the key phrase!

There were two Mumfords! Switzerland and Malta.

Bearbehind · 10/05/2014 22:26

I'd prefer to test Switzerland's multitasking abilities.

Caitlin17 · 10/05/2014 22:27

Yes Switzerland went Mumford too. I liked both of them more than the real Mumfords

My polish friend has just informed me that the polish song was about the polish women "knowing how to shake what their mamas gave them in their genes"! Wonderful!!

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/05/2014 22:35

Caitlin 17 - Couldn't agree more about the Netherlands' song -it's beautiful! (Sadly, not "Eurovision* enough to win!)

Bearbehind · 10/05/2014 22:36

Why did you need your Polish friend to tell you that everythings it said that in English!

OP posts:
Pobblewhohasnotoes · 10/05/2014 22:37

So Poland are hoping they'll win with boobs.

EverythingsDozy · 10/05/2014 22:38

Well to be honest I wasn't listening that closely to the song! She mentioned on Facebook that the song was about "tits" so I asked and that's what she said.

Bearbehind · 10/05/2014 22:43

The lyrics for the Poland song. I'm sure they didn't mean all the double entrendres- not!

We are Slavic, we know how it is
We like to shake what mama in the genes gave us
This is the hot blood, this is our Slavic call
We're Slavic girls, we know how to use our charming beauty
Now shake what your mama gave ya!
This is the Slavic blood, this is the beauty and grace

We have what no one else
We like that natural shape
Vodka is better than whisky and gin
The best in us whatever you want
Girls grown up on country cream
Fresh as Polish bread
No better than our Slavic girls
Whose seen and tried he knows!

Chorus:
We are Slavic, we know how it is
We like to shake what mama in the genes gave us
This is the hot blood, this is our Slavic call
We're Slavic girls, we know how to use our charming beauty
Now shake what your mama gave ya!
This is the Slavic blood, this is the beauty and grace

This special thing we have in our genes
Makes us proud of our natural shapes
On Our lands you have everything you need
So pour the Vodka straight, no need to mix.
Cream and butter taste so good
We will prepare for you delicious food
Our beauty is famous all over the world
You gotta see it for yourself and then You will know

Chorus:
We're Slavic girls, we know how to use our charming beauty
Now shake what your mama gave ya!
Clap your hands to this music
This is our nature, This is our call
This is our hot Slavic blood

I've voted Netherlands.

There do seem to br a lot of gentlemen who've left theorwwives at home in the audience.

MrsGoslingWannabe · 10/05/2014 22:46

Yes it was Fairytale Everything. Still love it now and fancy him. Thanks.

EverythingsDozy · 10/05/2014 22:47

Oh well that song sounds lovely!
I'm really not getting the Austrian drag act. I really don't get the whole bearded lady thing.

Bearbehind · 10/05/2014 22:48

To be fair, it's only the beard that stops a lot of men getting into trouble!

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 10/05/2014 22:55

Well that was uncomfortable, Russia

WTF Belarus?

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/05/2014 23:09

Oh, Netherlands are doing well! Hooray!

ComposHat · 10/05/2014 23:35

Beard aside thw the Austrian song is utterly forgettable.
