In the spirit of scientific experiment you understand.

DH says AIBU and I need to buy my own before sullying a child's drinking vessel. I say a bit of Fairy liquid and she will never know.

Well it worked! Decided on sloe gin and tonic in the end, on the dubious basis that it was more sugary, and it was delicious. Only one problem: for more than one, you need another slushy cup lined up in the freezer.

I think you'd need a pretty full-flavoured gin as the cold would kill any delicate botanicals (gin snob here) but sloe gin sounds like a total winner. You need powerful fruit and sweetness to get the cold alcoholic goodness to work. Well done, I look forward to reading the scientific paper.
