To ask for some inspiration for a hen party

The remit: 16 ladies, in London (where most of us live) in July. The bride doesn't want to do a dance class. Nothing too tiaras, dressing up, blow up penisy. Not too expensive.

I'm really struggling, I would like to do a big activity and then out in the evening. Another bridesmaid wants to just get an apartment and butler in the buff and games in the apartment which I'm not completely against but apartments seem pretty expensive though and probably not ness seen as we all apart from two live in London.

Help give me some inspiration!

Some great suggestions. Watching intently as I'm also organising a hen later this year and thinking about similar things.

Can anyone recommend cocktail classes in London? I did a brilliant one in Cambridge (at a place called Hidden Rooms, if anyone's looking in that part of the country) but never in London. There's just so many, some guidance would be much appreciated.

Someone I know had a jewellery making class in the day which meant that the key women had their own personalised 'favour' from the wedding. I thought that was rather nice.

We once went to the races for the day; dressed up, took a picnic & had a flutter. Easy on the train.

LAB in Soho has a great cocktail making class - you get the whole downstairs of the bar for a couple of hours and then you get a table so you can drink for longer.

How about HintHunt or ClueQuest or something? I did ClueQuest and it's absolutely fantastic. It's 6 to a room but they have 4 rooms so you can have a competition to see who's quickest.

Drink Shop Do near Kings Cross is nice - crafts and afternoon tea.
I did a Jamie Oliver pasta making workshop and a wine tasting session where you had a card loaded up with credit and could then taste many wines to try and match with a control bottle.
I've also done life drawing and a session in a recording studio for various other London based hen nights. Recording session was awesome - we ended up with our own CD of three songs.
