I was just loading the shopping into the car with dh and dd, the them lovely big parent and child bays.... When a mother came storming over to her car which was next to ours with baby about 10 months i would under her arm.... Like a rugby ball. The child was crying hysterically .. To me probably hungry as it was nearly tea time. She was shouting at the child to stop crying and practically threw it in to the car seat shouting 'get in there you little s*t' and told her child to 'shut the f*k' up. Appalled!!!! Absolutely shocked by this mothers actions that poor child. My dd who is 4 watched this turned to me and said ' that mummy isn't very nice is she' . I seem to be increasing seeing mother swearing at their children especially when at soft play! I don't claim to be perfect but i would never swear at my child. Has anyone else noticed this??

How did you know the baby was 10 months old?

When my dd was 18 months she was tiny
She was in 9-12 month clothes.

Its not like the kid understood the swearwords though. Who cares, really? Did it give you a little superior glow?

Those kids are going to grow up to be delightful aren't they? And treat their kids in the same way.

Some people should just not have kids!

That's awful - I would have been horrified too.

I remember going to a v posh castle for a wedding. The heir to the castle (i.e the present owner's son) was being perfectly vile to his little boy. He was getting the child and his other boy into a car and didn't realise anyone was around.

He screamed at him to 'stop crying for no reason' and threatened him with a smack - 'how would you like that?' he said. It doesn't sound that bad and we all have our limits but it really upset me to think of that poor little boy being bullied by his father.

Just goes to show class has nothing to do with better parenting.
