I sometimes feel sorry for Mr Maker during the minute make!

Sometimes it looks so stressful! And you can see his hands shaking! Imagine the pressure of getting something done in 60 with a crowd of under 10's baying for your blood Confused I bet he wipes a whole bucketful of sweat off his brow after some of them!

*yes I fancy him a little. I fully understand IABU about that though...

He did a web chat on here recently. He came across as a really lovely guy actually and a few admitted they fancied him so you're in good company Grin.

If I recall correctly, he said that he practises the minute make over and over to get the timing down.

readyforno2 · 27/04/2014 10:36

I always secretly hope he doesn't manage in time

DeWee · 27/04/2014 10:49

I just wonder how many times he's done it before and failed to make it in a minute. Grin

owlbegoing · 27/04/2014 10:55

I always thought that they were a bit "elastic" with their minute Grin

WillowB · 27/04/2014 12:05

He was in Australia today so I don't feel too sorry for him Grin Hong Kong the other day...DH reckons he must have some dirt on the producer to have wangled that. Poor Justin only gets to go as far as Aberdeen on something special!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 27/04/2014 18:32

You know it's often edited down to a minute, right?!

TruJay · 27/04/2014 18:50

Haha I've thought this too although I do think sometimes that he doesn't quite manage exactly what he wants to so adds "and if you've got more than a minute, you could...." at the end.
My son loves him, he's not as into him as he was when he was a bit younger though thank god. I made the mistake of doing the "I am a shape" dance with him one day, we danced like a pair of lunatics in the living room, then everytime it came on ds was all "c'mon mummy, lets dance!!!" and boy did i have to!

Waltonswatcher1 · 27/04/2014 18:54

He's another freaking weirdo . Most of the children's presenters are .
Thankfully dd 2 isn't interested in telly and I never have to suffer any of them .

puntasticusername · 27/04/2014 18:58

I fancy him a little bit, too.

He'd be kicked out on his arse if it was all over in a minute, though.

Waltonswatcher1 · 27/04/2014 21:58

No no no! Sometimes I'd gladly let it only take a minute - like the week before christmas when there's so much to do . Or before a holiday when you need to think through your packing the night before .
An option of a project finishing in under 60 could be a good thing !

DottiestDoris · 27/04/2014 22:48

I have to watch it from behind my hands incase he doesn't make it in time-it makes me nervous. And yes, that's even knowing that they wouldn't show it if he didn't..

motherofmonster · 27/04/2014 22:54

hate mr maker and usually am secretly hoping he fails..... used to have a crush on Andy, then someone pointed out that he looked like fatima whitbread and its ruined it for me now

Sqveeze · 27/04/2014 22:58

I have an unreasonable hatred of the shape song. "I am a rectangle" . . . no, you're not, you're a cuboid, etc. Fucks me right off.

AnotherSpinningFuckingRainbow · 27/04/2014 23:17

I too would hope he doesn't "make it" in a minute. What a disappointment that would be! Not that I fancy him, or Mr Bloom, who is inexplicably popular on here.

motherofmonster · 27/04/2014 23:29

oh Mr Bloom came to our loal shopping centre here a while ago, i dont think i have ever seen so many mums in there at 9.30am with full hair and make up done lol

...and i do have a picture of ds with him...just for memory box purposes of course Grin

Geordiegirl79 · 27/04/2014 23:43

Ooooh Mr Bloom. That's tonight's dream sorted!

BakeOLiteGirl · 28/04/2014 00:57

I didn't believe it was actually done in a minute so sat down and timed a few of them to make sure.

NeedsAsockamnesty · 28/04/2014 01:02

One of my kids is wanting a mdf wall so the can have a craft store like his,I rue the day I put on cbeebies

DocDaneeka · 28/04/2014 01:04

I bloody love the shapes

BikeRunSki · 28/04/2014 01:33

I hate Mr Maker and especially the minute make. Raises my DC's expectations of what I can do to massively unrealistic levels

NorwegianBirdhouse · 28/04/2014 08:40

Well I am so excited because just last night we booked a just for tots break to Butlins, and Mr Maker will be there. We decided to stay in the UK this year after taking DS now 2yo abroad last year. I want somewhere where me and DH can have a chance of sitting and having a coffee and just watch him enjoy soft play or something. Couldn't believe that someone is actually doing specially for toddlers breaks. Sorry if this sounds like an ad but me and DS love Mr Maker. Hope the shapes are there too. Sooo excited.

x2boys · 28/04/2014 10:28

Yes I remember somebody pointing out Andy looks like Fatima Whitbread and he so does! Fortunately I don't have to watch cbeebies any more ds1 is 7 and likes cartoon network ds2 is four he is autistic though and not interested in TV!
