After instrumental birth and haemorrage with dd 1 ( which resulted in anemia and no breast milk)

I was induced at 10 days over and in and out of labour for over 48 hours. I was totally and utterly dejected and very ill by the time dd came.

I have just foun out I am pregnant again :) - I know this time maybe different, but quite frankly I would rather skip at the distress for the ext dc and me , and have a ELCS. I know it will be a longer recovery (can be) but my last born left me with weeks of pain (plus exhaustion )

AIBU to request a. ELCS? Will I have mucho hope?

I had an emergency c/s with first and had a high spinal block, I really thought I was going to die, and I lost a lot of blood. Not fun.
For my second birth I went for an elective c/s as I was being induced which is not great on a previous scar so I bailed out. I ended up having the most awful abdominal pain afterwards, worse than labour pain, and it turns out I was bleeding internally, I lost 2-3litres of blood, it did settle, I was very poorly though, blood transfusions etc
A c/s is not to be taken lightly, it took months to recover properly, my milk supply was crap as I was so anaemic.
Please think your choices through thoroughly. There are so any more risks with a c/s although it's seen as a relatively safe procedure. Could you talk about your previous experience with a consultant midwife or a birth afterthought service?
