Yabu to eat the Cadbury one when you have 2 of my favourite chocolate there instead.

I only eat chocolate once a month, then I gorge on it like a devil possessed

Safmellow · 23/04/2014 20:23

I am eating my 3 year old's egg with her now! She is more than happy to share and only fair after she snitched half my strawberries earlier :)

ICanSeeTheSun · 23/04/2014 20:24

My DC had over 40 Easter eggs between the 2, we still have chocolate from Christmas. If I didn't help them it will still be here come Christmas.

jeanmiguelfangio · 23/04/2014 20:34

Over 40? Wow!! You either know a lot of people or a very generous few!!! In your house you should help them, otherwise would be the abuse!!!

icansee, you are welcome to it, although it seems you may have the monopoly on easter eggs, you probably dont need dds- I am the same, its pretty rare in my house

YANBU if you share them with me Smile

ICanSeeTheSun · 23/04/2014 20:39

Big family on my side and DH is an only child so DC have 3 grandparents on his side who like buying them lots of things.

Christmas is like Santa grotto.

Planning to make rice crispy cakes by melting a few.

Dukketeater · 23/04/2014 20:39

I am in the bad mummy club as have also ate ds'

jeanmiguelfangio · 23/04/2014 20:42

ican, must be mad at christmas! Rice crispy cakes sounds like a good idea, might steal that

I like the sound of the leonidas egg, I'd be tempted to nick that! I've never been tempted to nick my kids' chocolate. It lasts for ages and we don't have chocolate much in the house so I was happy to just keep it for them and ration it when they were small and buy myself my own chocolate. Now they're teenagers I just glimpse the eggs briefly before they vanish into their lairs.

phalanges · 23/04/2014 20:49

In my defence of snarfing chocolate - I didn't want the dcs eating chocolate or even trying it when they were very small.

I didn't want them getting a taste for sugary things or being like me and having about 10 fillings Blush

RobinSparkles · 23/04/2014 20:50

YANBU. Well you wouldn't want her little teeth to rot would you? You're doing her a good deed, IMO.

ICanSeeTheSun · 23/04/2014 20:57

A parent of a 13 month old need a lot of energy to keep up with him/her chocolate gives you energy.

sazzle82 · 23/04/2014 21:35

Dd has cmpa so everyone bought her easter gifts (I know, I know it's ott but they had done it before I could stop them) which meant very little chocolate.

The only egg was from my mum who said she got it as she couldn't make any difference between dd and the other gc, but as dd couldn't eat it I would have to. Thanks mum Grin

ICanSmellSummerComing · 23/04/2014 21:58

Yes

I have been diving into two Easter Baskets, on the grounds that my DD has too much far too young.

Its my responsibility to curtail her intake.

Boaby · 23/04/2014 22:02

My 16 year old DD asked me to eat her Easter eggs...something about not getting fat...to be honest I stopped listening once she gave me 4 eggs & a Lindt bunny.

OscarWinningActress · 23/04/2014 22:04

YABU to snaffle a Cadbury's egg. Mostly sugar and not worth the calories...it'll end up on your hips. Chuck it out or give it to your DH to take into the office.

If it's a G & B egg though...absolutely go for it. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that chocolate is poisonous to small children...like it is for dogs. Letting your kids eat that would be tantamount to child abuse, for sure.

fisherpricephone · 23/04/2014 22:05

What are you doing on here asking us for, you have a biological need for chocolate, she will understand when she has her period and a 13 month old to look after.

fisherpricephone · 23/04/2014 22:06

And obviously you'll buy your grandchildren eggs at an inappropriately young age so your daughter can enjoy them Wink.
