Around about this time last year i discovered i was pregnant. I never knew what the journey would turn out like ..
At 6 weeks pregnant after a bleed they told me she was a blighted ovum and i should naturally miscarriage with in the week ..a week later there was a heart beat.
From 9-14 weeks i spent the majority of the time on a drip unable to eat or drink anything.
At 20 weeks they told me she had an adbormal heart and dextrocardia ( right sided heart )
At 23 weeks i was admitted again and given steroids as a test came back i was at risk of going in to premature labour.
At 28 weeks they diagnosed her with severe congenital diaphramatic hernia with liver in the chest and gave her a 15 percent chance of surviving.
At 33 weeks they diagnosed her with heart coarctation and 2 holes and gave a her hardly any chance of surviving adding everything together and offered me a termination.
At 36 weeks on new years day they induced me as she had stopped growing.
On the 2nd of january , sienna Kelly was born. On the first night they nearly called it 3 times but she kept fighting, telling me the next morning there was lil chance of her making it ...but she fought and continued to fight.
Against all odds a year later from the very beginning my lil girl is sitting next to me and has made my life complete.
