Basically i live on quiet cul-de-sac made up of six houses with a row of garages opposite 3 of the houses including mine have small children.

One of the houses (couple mid 30's no kids) is really starting to piss me off. i say couple but they look very much alike so may be brother and sister.

Anyway the problem is that they seem to obsessed with feeding all the stray cats and foxes that hang around the area. To the point i regually see the man sat on the curb late at night hand feeding the foxes (i shit you not). He leaves plates of meat out at least twice a day which i believe is no attracting vermin as ive had a mouse in my house and so has another neighbour.

Most of the house have conservatories so the door are open most sunny days, and quite frankly i dont want to find a fox sat on my sofa

so.... I NICKED HIS PLATE HAHA

I also believe he has also pulled down the fence next to the train lines at the side of my neighbours house as he was spotted hanging around there and next day quite a few fence panels had been quite obviously yanked off

PS. i cant really approach him as everytime we've tried to say hello he turns and walks away

Many more children get attacked by dogs than by foxes. Are you going to go round the local neighbourhood stealing their leads?

Taking a plate that you know to belong to someone else is theft for which you could be arrested.

Report to the council. You aren't supposed to leave food out like that. Rats, mice etc will be attracted.

My Mum has started feeding her local foxes.

They wait everyday for her and she gives them dog food!

I think I just needed to share that.

Behind our house is a field and woods. There is always a family of foxes wandering in and out and the kid fox darts off like lightning the minute it hears footsteps. I'm still very careful on summer evenings with the children around though.

I live in an area where there are loads of foxes. Of all the things I find myself to worry about, foxes jumping through the window to gobble the children up just isn't one of them.

You stole from your neighbour.

.... guess which sounds more unreasonable!!!

Your neighbour feeding foxes - or stray cats - is unlikely to have causes a problem with mice appearing in your house unless they are taking shelter from the pack of foxes and cats outside your neighbours' house.

It is pretty much impossible to fox-proof your garden (although you can make it hard to get into so they will head to more easily accessible territory), so if you are genuinely concerned that a fox may come into your house you need to fit an insect screen door on your conservatory which cannot be nosed or pushed open by a nosy fox.

I feel really sorry for this couple. They've fed the cats and foxes so therefore their neighbours are watching them, ganging up on them and blaming everything that happens nearby on them.

Poor sods.

Foxes don't bother me. We used to leave food out for animals when I was growing up. We had a lovely little skunk family who would come looking for their supper every night and a couple of raccoons (leaving the food out for them stopped them from trying to climb into the bins!). We had a family of feral cats as well- they eventually became more or less tame though they did their best to attack my mother every time she rounded them up for their shots!

The people over the road feed foxes.

They used to come into our garden for nice desert of worms, the only problem with that was they insisted on digging up our garden in the process and when I say dig up I mean GREAT BIG FUCK OFF HOLES which were quite deep and as well as ruining the lawn also made it impossible to let the DCs run about the garden as they would have literally fallen down a hole.

In the end we purchased an electric fence (the best £150 we spent) - that kept the fuckers out................

The small hairy hound escaped from his area in the garden,got all excited about having full access to the entire garden,until his wet nose touched the fence...........................

Before ppl start reporting me to the RSPCA,NSPCC etc I'd liketo point out that the aforementioned electric fence was a perfectly legal,low voltage one and not a super duper thing that would send 50000 volts through man or beast

I grabbed hold of one once, I didn't realize it was electric. It gave me a huge shock. And the poor dog, who I had by the collar, who was squatting down to pee. Poor woofer, that was one big yelp he let out as the current passed through me and then him.

I'm not sure if my youngest would touch it the once or not. I think he would view it as sport, and be drawn to it. A bit like playing chicken in a busy road.

Write "Fuck off ya fuckin fox feedin fence fucker upper yer!" on the plate with a sharpie. Bake it to make it permanent. Pack it in polystyrene, in a huge box and pay insufficient postage so he has to go out of his way to get his plate back.

They had electric fencing around a nearby farm here for the Sheep. It had to be took down because the Plonkers Adults couldn't resist 'checking'. Who the fuck checks if a sign 'Warning - Electric Fence' is legit or not? .

I don't know, that temptation to just touch it, really quickly, just for a nanosecond, is a little overwhelming at times. I have to hold one arm back with the other to stop myself.
