to complain about bounty lady?

So after having dc2, I was moved to post natal. She had low blood sugar and had to be monitored. I threw up quite a bit. In the meantime, the physio lady came to talk to me, then the breastfeeding lady. While she was there, the paediatrician came to check dd. Bf lady asked her if she could wait til she was finished Shock . Peed said no prob but I butted in and lied and said I'm just gonna ff anyway and that I'm not taking any of this in. She left reluctantly and I proceeded to have a bit of a breakdown, sobbing and shaking uncontrollably. Mw decided to move me to my own room and went to arrange this leaving just me, dd and dh.

In strolls bounty lady asking if I want free wipes (29p in savers they are) and gives me the pack. Then 'i just need your details' so I gave them all to her, which is not something I ever ever do! Then starts trying to sell the pics. I asked how much and she replied 'its free to take the pics' Confused . At this point dh said we're not interested and have our own camera. She looked disgusted and said 'oh that's a shame', like we were terrible parents Shock . Are they really letting these vultures loose?

I complained to bounty and their reply just said how everyone's really happy with them and they have a code of conduct to adhere to anyway and that bounty is run by moms Confused So aibu to find these practices appalling?

The bounty lady I had over 2 years ago was great. No pressure and I gave my info and had no marketing as I requested. Can not fault them so far with me.

First, congratulations to all new mums on this thread.

Second: does anybody have a clue how anyone - even a Minister - ever thought this was a good idea?

I have been trying to work out what minimal upside there might be and I just can't see it.

My lo was born at thirty weeks and sent straight to neonatal, bounty women popped her head round the door (I was in a private room cos the midwives felt sorry for me) and said ooh where's your baby! I was with a lovely midwive expressing milk into a syringe to send to the special care unit. Midwive was fab tho and kicked her out Angry She obviously knew nothing about my situation and I remember thinking what if she went round and said that to a poor mum who'd suffered a loss.

I was in my own room too, no baby and crying my eyes out she didn't take any notice. Like sire take some photos of my baby whilst shes intubated on full lifer support in neonatal , i think they should at least give you some space before barging in

Oh mummy Sad

How awful.

Agree re these bounty ladies, signed the petition ages ago. Can't believe it's allowed tbh. I gave birth last week (traumatic section) and 2 barged in uninvited while dh and a nurse were holding me up cos I'd passed out with pain walking to to the loo. Confused
