Today I got an email alert from my supermarket, comfort 3l fabric cond all 'flavours' 3 for £10.

I checked their online postcode checker and as yet they don't deliver to my area. So I asked dh if he would pop in (we live 5 mins in the car from a large one) he got there and said the white one was not included in the offer. I only like the white!! So I forwarded the website to dh and asked if he'd show member of staff to see if they would include it.

Manager said no, so I contacted Morrisons and was told

Hi Wholenutt,

Unfortunately, we have different prices online to that in store.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this causes and I will feed it back to the relevant team.

Thanks,
Becky

So I miss out because they don't deliver to my area, in fact they don't deliver to many areas as I believe they're fairly new on the online shopping scene.

Can this be right? I know it's just bloody fabric cond but I feel it should be the same offer in store because otherwise only a select few are given the promotional offers.

I can understand use of different price structures to promote use of new service. But silly manager missed an easy customer service win, I bet she had enough autonomy to take that little executive decision with a better result. Hmm

I was just on their facebook looking at the messages people leave and saw that. Wonder if it was yours or someone else also disappointed?

It can be right. They can offer different prices and offers online because it comes from a distribution centre not the stores. All sorts of shops have cheaper items online because the overheads are smaller so they can pass that onto customers in the form of offers or low prices.

Ridiculous. Not quite as bargainous but they are £4 each at asda atm - including the white one.

WholeNutt · 08/04/2014 16:28

Guess I'd better name change now then!

The white one? the 'sensitive' skin one? I bought that in store yesterday on offer. 3 for £10.

WholeNutt · 08/04/2014 16:35

Yes Binky the sensitive, nowhere on their website does it state that this offer is not included in all stores.

Oops. Although you could have just said it wasn't you.

ChelworthBrond · 08/04/2014 18:47

I think most people know online offers are usually only available online.

ComposHat · 08/04/2014 19:17

Online offer only available online shocker.
