Usually we put money back for half terms. So in a fortnight we'd do 2 'big' days out - zoo/theme park etc. Then, weather dependant, a lot of outdoorsy stuff like parks, walks, picnics. Soft play would probably feature somewhere. The kids also do swimming lessons every week and on the end of term breaks, offer crash courses, so they go every day for half an hour for a week, which we've done a couple of times before.

We are however getting married in June. Every spare penny atm is going towards that, so for the Easter and May holidays it will be strictly free activities only. So a lot of walks, picnics, beach, parks, visiting and not much else.

Sweet f.a planned.
We just go with the flow

HemlockStarglimmer · 07/04/2014 15:39

We shall probably spend most of the time near home. We are two minutes from the beach and the leisure centre so rock pools, sandcastles and swimming will feature heavily. There's also a country park not too far away with a boating lake.

I'm hoping for better weather than we have had up to now, otherwise computer games and movies will have to keep us from killing each other.

Cinema
Bowling
New toys from charity shops Blush
Library
Visit to Grandma
Watch dvds together
Bake cakes for Daddy

And absolutely no visit at all to Norovirus Central (indoor softplay).

Swimming, swimming, swimming, soft play, seeing friends, seeing my parents, donkey sanctuary. Then up to stay with PILs so I can do some KIT days and dh can pull his weight!

DragonMamma · 07/04/2014 15:48

We are going away to Devon for a week, with the entire family (well, 20 of us) and the 8 kids will amuse themselves for the most part. We will do a few days out to the beach or Crealy but they prefer making shows and playing schools so I can plough through gin

The first week of Easter hols will be spent farming them off to my grandparents, childminder and holiday club.

This is good value and my 3yo can get it airborne by herself. She is thrilled with it.

Ds has spent a few days in Liverpool with dhs side of the family and will spend one day at grandmas when he comes home. That's week 1. Next week I will take him to Inverness to visit Fort George and a cheap overnight stay. That's his lot. The rest of the time he will have to,amuse himself as dh and I are both working.

foslady · 07/04/2014 21:38

Attempting to learn to sew using sewing machine - dd chose a 'learn to sew pattern', bought the material (with a pattern meaning it was a bugger to cut), had to go back 9 miles to get a decent pair of scissors and after cutting and tailor tacking had had enough for the day......chuffin' sewing bee!!!

GatoradeMeBitch · 07/04/2014 23:17

We're bookending the holidays with Marvel films. Captain America Winter Soldier last weekend, Spiderman at the end of the holiday. Other than that I'm just going to let him unwind and have a few shopping days, he gets stressed if there's too much on the agenda.

DrCoconut · 07/04/2014 23:22

We are just going to enjoy having some time off work and school. It's great to have a bit of respite.
