Many (most) of you probably won't give a stuff but I've loved the Boat Race since childhood. There's been even less press coverage than usual this year and I only realised this morning that the race is today.

Come on, Oxford!!

I'll be watching - fairly local to us so have been down to the river on many occasions. A bit cold today so I'll be watching on the telly.

Don't mind who wins but as Maryz said I tend to support the ones with the fewest "imports"!! Always enjoy it though.

Babymamaroon · 06/04/2014 17:06

Thank you OP.

Come on Oxford!!!!

Maryz I like your rationale about who you support. Cambridge this year since they have rowers who have only learnt to row at Cambridge? That might sway me this year but I only have a slight dark blue preference

Think Cambridge's chance has gone.

LookingThroughTheFog · 06/04/2014 18:30

Ouch! Poor Cambridge!

That must have been absolute agony for that poor bloke. The force to have pulled him actually into the water and at that angle. Jesus.

NearTheWindymill · 06/04/2014 18:30

Who did win please? DH not back yet and we're watching Come Dine with Me.

LookingThroughTheFog · 06/04/2014 18:32

Oxford by 11 lengths, Windy.

RevoltingPeasant · 06/04/2014 18:32

Yay Oxford won! Grin

As we used to say back in the day, I'd rather have gone to Durham than be a Tab....

(That was a joke for the humour challenged.)

Burren · 06/04/2014 18:32

Oxford by a country mile. In part due to the Cambridge number two coaching oars and losing his seat. A bit of a non-event this year...

Dawndonnaagain · 06/04/2014 18:33

Damn those 93s NearThe Grin
(Hope all is well).

NearTheWindymill · 06/04/2014 18:35

93s my backside - he'll be in the Rocket Grin. Beers cheaper than the other pubs - if he can get to the bar of course.

NearTheWindymill · 06/04/2014 18:36

Oh and good - he'll be in a reasonable mood. Sorry for the light blues though.

Dawndonnaagain · 07/04/2014 12:31

lol!
Dh went to Cambridge, df to Oxford. Not bothered! Grin
