It's been back for the past few years. Mainly in summer time, but many brands were doing neon accessories during winter.

2 years ago I bought a neon satchel for my niece. I've got a few bits, and I was there the first time. You can wear it well at any age.

Last summer Whistles had a few nice neon bits, and accessories are always the way to safely adopt a trend. Happy shopping.

There was a neon thing in the early/mid 90s, too - lime green and neon orange everywhere for several years Confused

EeyoreIsh · 06/04/2014 10:07

Been back for years, high street just catching up. I have a fab neon pink jacket I wore to work-everything else subtle and tailored. It looked great.

noddyholder · 06/04/2014 15:35

Sons girl friends wear it and it looks great I am not keen as I wore it last time although have seen a few people pull it off. It was big last summer and the only people I saw it look good on were very young and tanned. Quite like sandals though

noddyholder · 06/04/2014 15:44

Apparently tribal is the new neon acc to ds mates lol Neon has been relegated to the gym Hmm

Legologgo · 06/04/2014 16:59

Oh I have it there too ;). It's just a colour

TrenchCoat · 06/04/2014 18:55

Yes was big here last summer here along with the 90's Aztec prints. Haven't seen any this year.

Our shops are currently sporting the pastel colours (peach, mint green, pink) and blue and styles that were out in the mid 80's. it's everywhere at the moment.

noddyholder · 06/04/2014 19:15

I think its so eye catching its not just a colour You need to look good to wear it. I would look terrible although I LOVE orange

formerbabe · 06/04/2014 19:16

Looks great with a fake tan.

picnicbasketcase · 06/04/2014 19:17

I think it's fucking horrible. I went out looking for some stuff for dd and everything hurt my eyes.

Fortysomethingwinelover · 06/04/2014 19:24

It was an 80's fashion. I had neon legwarmers and a hand knitted neon jumper. I'm way to old to be wearing that again!

caruthers · 06/04/2014 19:26

Nothing is in fashion for you if you have style.

I've never been too keen on conforming when being told what to wear.

noddyholder · 06/04/2014 19:27

I think by my age you have your 'look' you know what suits and I just change bits

fortyplus · 07/04/2014 23:51

wowfudge yes I'm old enough to remember! Grin I had several batwing white sweatshirts with neon prints - I used to wear them with my odd-coloured neon socks. But looking back it wasn't 'fashion' it was just cheap tat

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 07/04/2014 23:53

I have a 'neon' red cardi that I absolutely love... it's not fluorescent exactly but is very bright and (I hope) it suits my colouring.

I also wear a hi-vis jacket when I'm on site and that most definitely doesn't suit my colouring at all.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 07/04/2014 23:54

Does the trend for yellow stuff count as neon? I quite fancied a yellow dress

Sharaluck · 08/04/2014 00:09

I like a bit of neon orange :) just the odd little bit.

Blackmouse · 09/04/2014 00:00

I also love a bit of neon orange. Most of my gym kit has a flash of orange on it, so I was delighted when there were loads of bright orange accessories around last year. I like just a flash of neon though. Couldn't wear a whole neon garment.
