I'm sorry, am posting for traffic Blush

I would be very grateful if you could say if they do or not, very roughly where you are and if you think it's a good thing that they do or don't.

Changes are afoot in my dcs school and I'm bloody annoyed. Just wondering if I'm out of step. Won't stop me being annoyed but informs the argument somewhat.

Well, they've had 2 full years of it in R and N, through the EYFS - not counting weekends, holidays, before and after school, lunchtimes and morning break

Mine don't, but then they only get "morning play" as such after a few weeks, and then at a different time from the older children for a long while. But most of their learning is through play. So they spend a good amount of time in the undercover outdoor play/class area with "toys". They also go to the field, or the playground for other activities. In the Spring they go to the Outdoors classroom too. In the class a lot of the activities are play type and a lot are pretty free choice (on a kind of Montessori idea).

yes ks1 have an afternoon playtime, but they don't have a morning playtime. They have a 5/10min drink and fruit break. KS2 have break in the morning but don't have an afternoon break.
