Hen weekend/Spa Break (whole other thread)

Going to extraordinarily posh Spa place and so I thought I would avail myself of a treatment. My face is a disaster zone so I had considered a facial.

However, as my work is very stressful I thought a massage might be a better choice for me. Anti stress massage is available 60 mins £75 or 30 mins £55.

I have never had a massage before so I am wondering if 60 minutes is a bit long? I will probably fall asleep and start dribbling.

As Mumsnet is clearly full of Seasoned Spa Breakers I thought I would ask your advice please?

Not long enough!!! It goes so fast too! And I would say as a natural chatterbox, (Gobshite) Try not to talk!! I find silences awkward and have to fill them...but now I ask the massage person (cant spell massues?) if they would find me rude if I was silent...they all say no problem!

Pinkr try getting yourself a proper sports massage one day if you like heavy massage. There are some interesting techniques they use that aren't taught in the standard massage training that really get into those muscle knots Grin.

sounds good... I've had a half hour sports one before and it was owwy but In a oh so good way! !

I got regular massages when pregnant and I really think it helped me have zero back pain... Also I never thought I had a high pain tolerance but my Masseuse said I did..... She was right. No pain relief till 8cm then gas and air until I had to have a epidural for a section!
