I haven't noticed this.

I have noticed that people have started saying myself when they should be saying me. "You'll be able to contact myself throughout the process".

Oh and "in regards to". No. It is "with regard to". It's only ever "regards" when your regard is being sent.

'In regards to' is a bit of a bugbear with me too.

My mother always says, 'but is an eraser word', as in, it erases what precedes it. This always comes to my mind when arguing with anyone and they say "but", but (!) the thought annoys me, because I think but is not always an eraser word, but inherently conjunctive is that even a word. And necessary. And now see where we are, with people using run ons instead.

I know that I sound like a loon Grin

I am with megrim here-where and is used to put a positive spin on it...eg your teachers think you have lots of really great ideas and it would be fabulous if you would use them in your stories. Rather than "you have great ideas but you need to write them down more"!
