the purge.. could it happen

ok.. so waiting in for the second day for the boiler man to come.. i decided to watch a scary movie... seeing as i cant watch them at night or on my own (thats a whole other thread) figured itd be a good time.

its not as bad as i thought it was going to be ... and could have been alot worse. but the storyline is what makes it scary imo, even more so that i could see it one day h appening?... maybe... its not that far fetched really is it? aibu to think is could possable happen, and to think its not much different to the hunger games... though i would say the purge was fairer then HG.

I like the look of that film but too much of a wimp to watch . Why do they want the homeless man ? Is there a big twist at the end ?

magix im a wimp .. but it wasnt as bad as i was expecting.. and its a 15.. i thought it would have been ab 18

the homeless guy was calling for helpp. the little boy let him in.

So the family let the homeless man in and then people come to kill him ? Why do they want to kill him ?

They are allowed to kill who they want except Political types and police types.

I guess they go after the homeless Man as he can't defend himself like those in houses can so is easy pickings. Those in houses have security systems in place to stay safe.

I watched that the other day and it wasn't not even remotely scary,the masked people were slightly creepy and the main unmasked guys face was obviously the model for them :-/.

I imagined that movie to be scarier and avoided watching it for a long time.

There is a Purge 2 coming out later this year which actually has a decent plot with the "purge" concept. Seems to be rated higher than the first :) to those that haven't seen it, it's really not scary at all.

see i wanted a purge 2 to come out.. where they all decided it was a bad idea and on the night took a stand my making daisy chains together out in the open...

guess that wouldnt make a good movie though

i guess it cant really be any worse then the 1st.. maybe it'll go liek the saw flims.. and their'll be loads.

They targeted the homeless man as he was an 'undesirable'.

I think the idea is that some people were trying to 'purge' society of those people who didn't contribute or had no 'value' to society.

That's the part that freaked me out- I could see a lot of people jumping in that bandwagon if the purge ever became a 'thing'
