Or at least call their hosts before they turn up? I am talking about my FIL. He is boring and hard work at the best of times. He does not want the dinner I have got in for him, just dry toast.. Am sahm to 2 and 4 year olds so no scope for time off if ill...

Bleugh.
Hopefully he hadn't actually got a bug but had eaten something dodgy.
Just chuck all his leftover offerings.

I am shameless about avoiding people who have recently had bugs. Can't believe he's come to stay when he was throwing up last night - that is either very ignorant or very twatty.

Personally, I would probably either have asked him to come back another time, or confined him to one room and made it clear that kids are to go nowhere near him.

Antibacterial wipes and gel aren't good at guarding against vomit bugs. Soap and water, separate towels for ill people, no touching faces with your hands.
