Too distraught to leave the house? Seriously? Hmm

Now I wouldn't want eyebrows like hers but they look like pretty standard tattoo ones. I would not walk by this woman in the street and stop and stare open mouthed.

Aibu to think she's out for all she can gets?

Ratata,
I'm sorry
I posted in haste.

I think she is taking the piss though
Just trying to get compensation, making a huge fuss

like you said, they will probably settle and be fine

shakinstevenslovechild · 20/03/2014 23:19

Why doesn't she just cut a fringe in and get on with her life? I do this sometimes to cover up my frown lines when I want people to see less of my face Grin

saintmerryweather · 20/03/2014 23:21

They suit her like that

puppadompreach · 20/03/2014 23:25

They do look a bit Frank Sidebottom.

Monkeybubbles1 · 20/03/2014 23:32

Lol. Wtf was she expecting? You don't get eyebrow tattoos and expect to look like anything BUT a drag queen. What an absolute idiot.

ladypete · 20/03/2014 23:33

Hopefully they'll fade as the beautician said, because they do look horrendous Sad I would never take a gamble and get them tattooed on though! One mistake and it's all over....

ElkTheory · 20/03/2014 23:39

They do look rather bizarre but you pays your money and you takes your choice, as they say.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2014 23:40

I'm considering it as I have lost about 90% of mine to alopecia and as I have dark hair it looks seriously weird, I have to pencil them on every day. I hope hers settle down ok.

Caitlin17 · 20/03/2014 23:49

They look ok. If I'd have something done which made me feel so hideous I couldn't leave the house I don't think I'd splash my picture all over a newspaper.

MusicalEndorphins · 21/03/2014 02:16

Don't feel a bit sorry for her self induced woes.

GertTheFlirt · 21/03/2014 02:24

They look bloody awful - the Marx Brothers wore similar pairs.

Monty27 · 21/03/2014 02:28

That's the trend here, London. Wouldn't do it myself. But she did get what she asked for Confused

GertTheFlirt · 21/03/2014 02:29

It is the 'trend' with school girls here in London, not adults. Its more a Geordie Shore thing.

bubblegoose · 21/03/2014 03:29

Loving the extremely sad faces. I think there is something deeper going on than bold eyebrows.

GawjussStunningHunLoolz · 21/03/2014 04:07

I don't think they are great, too dark and they look ever so slightly asymmetrical to me, but they are not clownish or drag queenish - at least no more than anyone else's, in this current trend for a drag queenish look.

I'm not sure what she expected if not that? Confused

She is going to regret the choice of colour as she gets older and it no longer suits her to keep her hair so dark, but that's her own stupid fault.

When will people realise that tattooes and most forms of cosmetic surgery are not reversible?! If you are not prepared to run that risk that you won't like the result then don't do it! There are so many great products on the market now for non-permanent eyebrow shaping and colouring that I don't understand why you'd take this risk.

GawjussStunningHunLoolz · 21/03/2014 04:08

Any middle aged woman trying to ape the style of her teenaged daughter and her friends is a bit of a saddo anyway in my book.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 21/03/2014 04:52

Yep get a fringe cut if its such a bloody problem.

They aren't much different from her daughter's.

Agree with the won't go outside but happy to have it plastered all over the DM comments. Wonder how that would stand up when making a claim.

Seriously, how is this even news DM?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 21/03/2014 06:21

I went to Newcastle a year ago and very bold eyebrows seemed to be popular.

If she'd ended up with eyebrows like these, I might be more sympathetic.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 21/03/2014 07:03

what a knob. there are many people far more deserving of sympathy.

Onesleeptillwembley · 21/03/2014 07:10

They look absolutely awful, BUT they match the eyeliner she's wearing. Like a ring of tar around her eyes. A bloody mess.

Imnotmadeofeyes · 21/03/2014 07:25

So she had them done then agreed that they needed to be thicker and now doesn't like them? Did she not look in the mirror while they were been done?

Sorry, but they really aren't that bad, if she was twenty years younger they'd be bang on trend, they look like her daughters in that article Grin

My mate gets hers tatooed because she's so fair her eyebrows are none existent, they do look darker for a few weeks but it fades pretty quickly tbh, and it's all mentioned in the consultation. The lady who commented in the article sounds like she informed her about it all before hand.

My mate shaves off her natural eyebrows because that does look odd growing over the tatooed bit.

If she's really unhappy she can get some decent coverage concealer and shape them that way, it's semi-permenant so it can only fade and improve. She'd be daft to get any laser treatment on such a delicate area when it's likely to look nothing like that in a year or so.

BoomBoomsCousin · 21/03/2014 09:55

I think they look awful, but I don't like "fashionable" eyebrows. I'm an au naturel sort. I'm having a hard time understanding how someone who is prepared to have their photo splashed all over the papers can legitimately claim to be too distraught to leave the house.

owlbegoing · 21/03/2014 10:09

She's got a point. They are uneven.

Titsalinabumsquash · 21/03/2014 10:12

As someone who genuinely finds it had to leave the house due to the condition of yet skin, SIBU and fricking ridiculous, they look as fine as any makeup tattoo does she needs to be given a grip for mother day instead of this. Angry

CrushingCandies · 21/03/2014 10:27

Shes too embarrassed to leave the house but not enough that she goes and does a close up in a national rag says it all really.
