slarty. I used to have to turn my record player ( how old am I??) dhow when this track came on as not to outrage my parents!

Same with friggin'in the riggin' by the sex pistols. My nan nearly had a coronary when she heard that one!

Love this song!

It's number 7 on my running playlist and always gives me an extra push to keep going

I have played this non stop since this thread started. This one and Good Year for the Roses are some of my favourites.

Jumped

Always thought she jumped.

Good Year for the Roses always turns into the Squeeze one... drinks to remember, I, me and myself, winds up the clock and knocks dust from the shelf...

The 2 sets of lyrics just melt together and it becomes one big self indulgent sad song!

Well, the misogynist contempt for women theme went RIGHT over my head. I've always thought it was a sympathetic insight into the life of a suburban housewife.

slartybartfast · 16/03/2014 13:40

i always sing good year for the roses when I am pruning my roses Grin
