"Don't worry Mum, my trousers aren't wet they are just a little damp".

I mean WTAF?!?! Surely only a scant few okay maybe 9 months ago all she was saying was "dog" or " 'ama" or "cat"...in fact I have video evidence of this....

WIBU to tell my DD to stop growing up so damn fast? Or do I need to pay more attention in case I blink and miss the whole thing?

My DD likes to be different..she had more words than usual until 2.10 now is starting again. She is getting a few sounds again now though at 7.5 so who knows..

I keep watching my dd and being amazed that she can walk. She's being doing it a few months now and she's my second, but still!

My DS did this too.

I think some kids just take it all in until they are confident they can do it, and then unleash it one day out of the blue.

I got a text from my ds when he was in year 7 saying "the general consensus is that rugby is on tonight"

I love it when toddlers suddenly astound you with words.

I remember with mine they would often come out with a noun that would make you wonder how on earth they knew the name of the object as they'd not come across it before

eg. when DS was very, very young he picked something up that was the shape of a walking stick, with the curved top and said 'walking stick'. To my knowledge he'd not had any experience of a walking stick, we didn't know anyone who used one, had never pointed one out to him, not seen one on TV etc so had no idea how he knew what they were called Confused
