Complaining!

Have just read the thread about the rude sainsburys check out man and wanted to ask what are people's best/worst outcomes when they've complained?
I've decided that I will not accept shoddy service, rude attitudes or bitchy/bullying behaviour towards me or anyone else.
My DH thinks I'm loopy and getting on my high horse for nothing but I don't think it's acceptable.
I don't complain then stew about it and argue with the person in my head like I'm back in that situation!
Sometimes my DC ask who talking to as they can see my lips moving!

Last week at work, a colleague was eating a packet of McCoys crisps. She tipped the remnants of the packet into her mouth, only to find a bloody drawing pin!

She had written to the company, apparently they are investigating ......

Found a live caterpillar crawling on DH's food at a posh organic restaurant once. When we complained they informed us it was organic, so sometimes these things happen, and offered us a free meal. We weren't impressed, nor did we go back for another meal after caterpillar-gate.

My friend bought a girth for her horse and after a few days noticed he was being very touchy to be tacked up and ridden. She took the girth off to clean it and as she ran her hand over it she noticed a needle sticking out of it that had been digging into her poor horse's sides every time he was saddled up. She contacted the manufacturer and got a lot of compensation.
