To think there is nothing more satisfying in the whole world than pulling out a chin pube?

It's been bothering me for days after being plucked last week!

Started of as a little dark grain of sand that the tweezers would not grip but tonight I got the little bugger Grin

That's my excitement over for another week - ten days!

I have some that are so deeply rooted they squeak when I pull them out Confused

Definitely planning to give the Lumea a go the next time I have the cash {never}. I have to say, I work with older people, and the ladies in hosp whose moustaches have grown due to them not keeping on top of things look perfectly fine.

cardamomginger · 06/03/2014 20:58

I cheered someone up after a funeral (her FIL had died) by showing her my newly plucked chin pube. I knew she'd get a kick out of it.

Bluemonkeyspots · 06/03/2014 21:14

I'm pretty blond and don't have a obvious moustache etc like a lot of my friends have to deal with, it is just the odd wiry things that are satisfying to pull but I do wonder how noticeable they could be to others. I remember years ago going to a function and finding a long chin hair the next day and when I mentioned it to a friend she said she had noticed it on the night (I was 25) Blush

Yeah - I've found inch long thick black ones the day after a wedding or other event when I was poshed up.

sugar4eva · 06/03/2014 21:51

I beg to differ ! Squeezing the nose is my thing! I love pores.

SpinningFates · 06/03/2014 21:54

I have a thick, white whisker under my eye. under my eye ffs

hamptoncourt · 06/03/2014 21:57

Are there no science boffin type Mnetters to tell us WHY oh WHY they sprout up overnight? Drives me mad.

mamayaya · 06/03/2014 22:04

This is grim but .... I get hairs around nipples which I love tweezing. Never confessed that to anyone who knows me, never would. I don't understand, I'm blonde and they're black. Gross, I have tweezers everywhere !

CalmaLlamaDown · 06/03/2014 22:09

I have three black wiry hair under my chin, I'm going to grow them and platt them and stoke it!

travailtotravel · 06/03/2014 22:10

I get loads of these buggers. I have tweezers in my handbag, car and desk drawer.

And yet the buggers still pop up suddenly, like they're in a game of hide and seek.

Bastards.

PrivateBenjamin · 06/03/2014 22:17

Mamayaya me too! High five. They get really long don't they? They're more like eyelashes than pubes or pale body hairs and very satisfying to pluck out. I might go and do it now actually. Fun times.

Bluemonkeyspots · 06/03/2014 22:20

Actually this has also reminded me I get great long ones just inside my belly button. Some much reach 2 inches but they are very fine (though jet black) and hard to grip onto.

I am such a catch!

Not that I know anything about these wandering hairs. . . .

But I do hear that the Body Shop own brand tweezers are amazing for even the very short dark ones that suddenly appear out of nowhere. . .

BobPatSamandIgglePiggle · 06/03/2014 22:27

I have one (and one on my neck, 3 in my cleavage and several around my nipples) I'm a picture me!

The chin one creeps up on me - and always sprouts when I'm out and I convince myself everyone can see!

AlpacaPicnic · 06/03/2014 22:30

I carry tweezers in my work bag these days... The ligjt is so much better in the office and I like to give the staff in the co-op staff room, oppsite ours, a bit of entertainment!

BlueSkySunnyDay · 06/03/2014 22:33

"Bad enough having g chin whiskers, but white ones" - I agree demented - the day I plucked my first white wiry chin hair I felt like it was the beginning of the end!

I had a discussion with someone about mole hairs on the weekend and then got home and found out mine had sprouted a massive long black hair in the couple of days I had taken my eyes off of it.

I also have incredibly hairy big toes which I have to remember to shave.

intheround · 06/03/2014 22:34

I've resorted to using the epilator on mine
DH can't bear to be in the room when it's on.

Mintyy · 06/03/2014 22:41

I'd just like to recommend the Superdrug pointy tweezers for this sort of activity. They can grab your chin hair when people your children or dh keep telling you you've got a nasty blackhead.

The x 15 magnifying mirror is also very good, as is having an east facing bedroom window.

joanofarchitrave · 06/03/2014 22:47

I could get a x15 magnifying mirror but tbh I might as well kill myself now.

I resort to not earning enough to fund dh's laser eye surgery or better glasses. Shame ds has such good vision.

Dogsmom · 06/03/2014 23:00

Ooh I love plucking hairs, sadly I only have one chin hair but my husband gets some corkers, they're always black, really thick and shorter than the others, when I tweeze them they never hurt and can be 5mm long even though only 1mm shows. Some of them even come out in a little waxy sleeve that cracks of when you roll it between your fingers.
I almost orgasmed when I cracked one open and TWO hairs were inside!

WelshMaenad · 06/03/2014 23:05

I appear to have found my people.

Twighlightsparkle · 06/03/2014 23:12

Wow, there's others! It's not just me, fab

trixymalixy · 06/03/2014 23:18

I was thinking of starting a MN thread asking how the hell chin hairs appear from nowhere. I don't understand, they're like the weeping angels from Dr Who.

stooshe · 06/03/2014 23:21

It's satisfying to know that i'm no the only one who gets completely joyful when hand+tweezer+ intention = perfect grip of errant wiry hair on face.
I can't be doing with the "snapping" of facial hair and waiting for it to regrow in order to regain perfect grip and sleight of hand. (In a lot of cases, I only have to wait two days!).
