to think that this old man should not have pushed me onto my arse in the street?

Driving up a long upward incline street this morning. Road clear when I start up it. My side of the road blocked with parked cars so I am over the middle of the road. A car starts coming down at the top of the street. They must have clearly seen that I was coming up and could have waited at the top but they started bearing down on me. The driver could have pulled in slightly ahead which I thought they were going to do as there was a space in the parked cars but they did not Hmm. We cannot both get past so the car stops in front of me and beeps! I swear to myself, comment to MYSELF about the driver being a stupid bloody ignorant cow without looking at them and then start reversing down the road. At the bottom there is a space free and I pull into it deciding not to bother driving up there. I will walk up.

Suddenly there is a little old man in front of me screaming at me 'don't you dare talk to my wife life that, how dare you'. He then slapped my face and pushed me over. I was not expecting it so I fell on my arse Blush. Quite a few other people around and they did not say a thing. By the time I had got over the shock and stood up, old man was gone.

I did not even get the reg plate of the car.

I am in shock tbh. Was this reasonable behaviour from a senior citizen?

ywbvvvu to reverse back down the road for his ignorant cow of a wife id have just stayed there until she reversed back where she came from.

you were also bu for not telling her hubby he was a miserable bastard who was about to get sued for assualt.

i cant stand people who think the world owes them something.

hope you are ok op.

if someone is rude and pushes in like that when im driving i just sit there until they move...a very rude taxi driver did it with me once he kept beeping and beeping thinking he could push through when i was right at the top of a hill had nowhere to pull and the cars blocking were on his side ..when i switched my engine off and started reading a newspaper he finally gave up and reversed back to where he came from..

Bwah. This happened to us very close to our house (all the streets are narrow around us) - a woman came barreling down the road, music blasting, blocked us -we just put the hazards on, got out and started to walk home. She turned down her music & had to back up very, very slowly as it was so tight. Twas funny.

Yes, your criticism was completely deserved and you can say whatever you want in your own car, surely?! I also agree you would've been entirely in your rights to not reverse and just wait for her to reverse. But if she was stubborn you could've been there a while, and it's entirely possible that her husband would've got out and shouted at you, even punched the window or something!
