to think Netflix is a bit shit; at least for kids?

[I say this hypocritically as I'm currently working my way through every episode of Buffy...]

We have run out of kids movies on Netflix. We've seen all of them at least twice and IMO the selection is really quite poor.
Does anyone else think this or am I just really spoilt? Grin

I am really angry with the love film thing being added to my Amazon Prime for £30 a year. I don't want it so will cancel it when it gets renewed. Love film is pointless for us as you can't use it on Apple TV thanks to amazon trying to be difficult. DD loves netflix and on the rare occasion where I get time to watch what I want there are plenty of series to catch up on. Should be good for maternity leave!

Love netflix, it's my little private bit of loveliness while I'm bfing DD for hours on end Wink. It took me 2 months to get through the whole of Buffy, I've watched the whole of Orange is the New Black twice, all of Charmed, all of Breaking Bad and Chuck, and am rewatching the American Office for the millionth time. I love it. I don't share it with DS, cos I'm mean like that and he's happier watching CBeebies anyway. Although it does provide a useful distraction when I'm cutting his hair Grin

My kids love Netflix. We have Charlie & Lola, Max & Ruby, H20 Just add water Hmm on a loop.

As well as some preteen type tv movies : Alice upside down etc.

i think for 6 a mont is quite good actually. youd make your money back with in 3-4 flims.

i agree american verson is loads better though.

exmrs · 02/03/2014 17:37

How do you get the us version please?

Objection · 02/03/2014 17:50

For me it's worth it for Buffy - and maybe I'll get hooked on another TV series after that.
But when the TV series are all watched... gone.

For my charges, theyve seen the films. not enough disney!

I use the US version and it's brilliant for documentaries and tv series. We don't really use the kids bit but it doesn't seem that bad

I have just one word to say to you: Blinkbox. No subscription, an ENORMOUS range of films, and lots of recent ones (including things currently up for Oscars). Movie Mondays you can hire one of a small selection of films for 99p (it nearly always includes a children's film and over Christmas all the options were family films). The only downside I'm aware of: no Disney.

Parietal · 02/03/2014 20:31

We have nowTV (on recommendation of mumsnet) and it is good for Disney & kids stuff
