to give DS a jam doughnut in his packed lunch?

I mean he'll have a hummus wrap, locally reared fresh ham, a selection of grapes, local cheese and a piece of lentil wedge.

It's just that we have 2 doughnuts left and if I don't give him one, I'll eat both tomorrow - so really I'm doing it for my figure.

It's only a jam doughnut packed full of sugar and jam. What problem could that possibly cause at school Grin

There's always breakfast.

Mmmmm doughnut......

dexter73 · 25/02/2014 18:58

He'll probably get permanently excluded!

GandalfsBeard · 25/02/2014 18:59

I'd give it to him just to upset the lunch box police Grin

MolotovCocktail · 25/02/2014 18:59

I wouldn't put a jam donut in dd's lunchbox because it's too much of a big sweet-treat.

However, fuck'em because school would not dictate to me what we pay for to go into dd's lunchbox.

Tinks42 · 25/02/2014 18:59

Put a bar of chocolate in there to keep it company Wink

itshardthinkingofanickname · 25/02/2014 18:59

Just a doughnut for breakfast?

Well - it contains carbohydrates. And I'm sure the sugar rush would wear off by 9am.

Writes letter to BBC....

princessalbert · 25/02/2014 19:00

I would pack both for him.

He can share with another child the one who only gets a dry pitta bread and a radish Grin

DameFanny · 25/02/2014 19:00

Yy to breakfast - you'll be uber-mummy for the day and if he tells anyone at school they'll look at Gwen the hand-reared ham and think he's got a marvellous imagination Wink

NormHonal · 25/02/2014 19:00

I hope the grapes will be cutted-up?

Next you'll be telling us you're giving him marshmallows.

MintyChops · 25/02/2014 19:02

Save your arse, give him both....

Onesleeptillwembley · 25/02/2014 19:05

My parental advice would be to eat one tonight and one tomorrow yourself. Poor boy, can't believe what you're even considering. What you need to understand is that this selfless parenting lark is relentless.

lljkk · 25/02/2014 19:05

Wouldn't make it to morning in my house, anyway. (Problem solved)

Jolleigh · 25/02/2014 19:08

I will personally volunteer to save your figure by eating both doughnuts.

What's lentil wedge? Hmm

puntasticusername · 25/02/2014 19:13

A doughnut. In a school packed lunch? Are you MAD? Shock

Respect, sister. From what I hear about these lunchbox police types, it'd cause marginally less trouble if you packed him a hand grenade in there. What school is it, I want to be there when they find it... Smile

Fakebook · 25/02/2014 19:13

Just tell the teachers it's an organic doughnut. It can't be unhealthy.

Bakingnovice · 25/02/2014 19:15

I'm more worried about the lentil wedge. Wtf is one of those....

itshardthinkingofanickname · 25/02/2014 19:15

Lentil wedge.
Lentils. Tomatoes, Onion, eggs, herbs. carrots, stock.

Mix it up, heat it. Lentil wedge. Actually quite tasty. Wheat free and vegetarian.

Jam doughnuts were the school lunch pudding at my school today!

AlpacaLypse · 25/02/2014 19:19

Lentil Wedge sounds like the sort of thing you'd really really regret googling, like Dragon Butter.

itshardthinkingofanickname · 25/02/2014 19:19

I forgot cheese. That's probably bad as it's too fatty Grin
