To think it's bloody pointless to post on AIBU

If you aren't prepared to be told that actually yes you are being bloody unreasonable?

Why? Before posting on AIBU I always know that I could get the response that I don't want and I'm prepared to take it if that's what the majority think.

The "be back shortly" post of mine is a link.

Come on ladies. Skimming over it and I'm to to make a cup of tea before reading the rest. It's good viewing she's a loon!

And I think the snide and personal attacks on there are vile and contemptible.

I'd forgotten the Nazi hating the postman thread!

YANBU - it's got to the point that I'm half willing to tell people they are being unreasonable regardless of what I actually think because they are being so ridiculously argumentative!

YouStayClassySanDiego · 24/02/2014 21:01

Same here hmc

I've posted jokey ones about my cat and the food stand off but nothing serious , sensitive or likely to bring out the shouty idiots looking to stick the boot in.

PikaAchooo · 24/02/2014 21:48

On the postman one?

There are some people on here who don't like being disagreed with and can get very angry and abusive if you dare challenge them and their ideology.

Some people also get really angry over really little things - why?

Dollslikeyouandme · 24/02/2014 22:20

Surely though, if as soon as you're told yabu, if you were to just say 'ok fair enough', then it would be pretty boring.

Surely sometimes the point is to start a bit of a debate?

Sometimes there is a backstory and the op is caught up so doesn't think it's relevant. Then it is and she's accused of drip feeding.

Sometimes it's the tone of the replies. Disagree, say why, but 10x 'yabu you're a nob hth' isn't really well, helpful.

Sometimes people hold a strong opinion and are looking for confirmation and are taken aback when they don't get it.

Just kill all the op who are bu.

I've seen threads such as P&C parking where some unsuspecting newbie has come on and before long she's being told she can't drive or park, shouldn't have had children, should only order her shopping online.

It can go a bit mental in here.

Firsttimmemummy · 24/02/2014 22:45

OMG I have just spent my entire evening reading that postman link. Hilarious!! It was so worth it. I don't understand about the biscuit Biscuit being a bad thing though. Isn't it just a nice alternative to Cake? (Sorry I'm a newbie) x

Dollslikeyouandme · 24/02/2014 22:52

Nobody on that postman thread has mentioned that he might have been on his break.

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 24/02/2014 22:59

Oh I got jumped up and down on in my first and only AIBU, then when I caved and admitted I was being an entitled princess I got jumped on for caving! :)

Got called an Arsey Twat for suggesting someone needed to chill out about their teenager's slightly off, but typical behaviour, and not by the OP either!

Feckin' LOVE AIBU! Such fun!

itshardthinkingofanickname · 25/02/2014 09:09

Some people change their mind during the "debate" but that doesn't stop people who haven't RTFT to pile in with their views despite new information and the OP changing their views.

MeepMeepVrooom · 25/02/2014 09:41

Firsttimmemummy Biscuit is equivilant to "I'm not going to even justify that with an answer"
