to buy a fresh chicken because we forgot to defrost one?

I really fancy roast chicken.

Dh said, we'll have to have something else as the chicken is still in the freezer.

I said I'll get a fresh one from the Co-op.

Dh looked at me like I'd suggested eating one of the children.

He says it's wasteful. Because we already have one.

I don't get it. Who is right?

I sometimes leave the frozen breast in the freezer and go out and buy fresh tenderloins because I can't be bothered to defrost it and cut it up. Tenderloins take slightly less chopping

Well, you'll be thrilled to learn they were two for a tenner. So we now have three chickens, to dh's disgust.

Ha ha. This will be henceforth known as the Triple Chicken Incident and brought up at regular intervals to illustrate your cavalier and quite frankly reckless attitude towards the purchase of poultry.

You are right IMO. I have 2 chickens in the freezer but forgot to get one out so have bought another this morning from supermarket. It happens, the other 2 certainly won't go to waste and will be used in the future!

You are right, he is being daft. You are just saving the frozen one for later.
