AIBU to want my cat to stop snoring!

DCat1 is currently curled up on and old throw that I keep on the ottoman at the bottom of my bed right next to the radiator. She's fast asleep and snoring.

I've already poked her, rolled her over and tried to encourage her to go downstairs with DCat2 but no throw and ottoman by radiator is comfy. Even though she's keeping me awake!

Grin to silent miaows - such manipulative creatures.

Mine also "chirps" - at birds, laser pen, shiny things and at her little reflection in the mirror.

My cat doesn't snore very often but she purrs REALLY loudly for ages until she goes to sleep. I can blank it out (and find it cute that she is so happy & contented) but DH finds it hard to sleep when she's in the room so she is not allowed in until he goes to work at 5am on weekdays though she sneaks in at weekends. Don't feel too sorry for her though - she has a heated bed of her own. Grin

She's also taught our other cat (who used to purr so quietly you couldn't hear him) to purr like a pneumatic drill as well. He is a nocturnal cat though so tends to snooze and purr during the day, which causes less disturbance!

My cat is doing my head in at the moment. She's too fat so is on a perpetual diet which means she's always hungry. 3.48am today it was meow. meow. meow.meow. meow.meow. meow. meow.meow. meow in the bedroom. She's also taking to cleverly hooking with her claws the heaviest books off the book case by the bed so they fall with a mighty bang. Silence for a bit. Then the meowing and close up purring in your face starts again. Eventually one of us stumbles out of bed and shuts her out. That works for about half an hour and then the door scratching starts. Does any of this sound familiar or is my cat an unreasonable pain in the arse?
