The school have set a book week competition. I am usually highly disorganised and busy with work and as a result poor dd almost always misses out on taking part, this time she has made me promise to help her...

the spec is "to take a photo of you or your child reading a book in a an unusual or unique place!"

I am drawing a blank!!! Annoyingly we went to the zoo last week which would have been good

DS sat in the middle of the Millennium Bridge reading a book.

The winner in school last year was seated on the propeller of an aeroplane!

Do you have any famous landmarks or famous authors?
I'm thinking a book about slavery by the Wilberforce statue or a Thomas Hardy on the hills near Dorchester.

We had to do this last year - my daughter was sitting on a pony (after her riding lesson) which I thought would be good, but there were several of them.....

Totally sucky up version: Contact the local Mayor and ask to visit their parlour, get one with the mayor in their fancy robes, child in school uniform. Book something classic and wholesome.

Yy to local landmark- we have a brick train near us, would be brilliant to have DD reading Thomas the Tank on top of the brick train!

I would definitely link book to scenario.
