To ask when was the last time you saw your family naked?

So we've just got back from visiting new DPs family in a country known for cold weather, saunas and happiness.

As a proudly feminist lefty with ideas that I'm comfortable with everything and anything, I have to admit I've been left a bit by DP family's attitude to clothliness, or more specifically non-clothliness. I've even NC'd and I don't know why given I'm probably not hard to recognise

Now I can't say I wasn't warned, and I chose to throw myself into it; but I suddenly feel a little like I'm stuck in the dark ages rather than the progressive free-wheeler I thought I was. Suffice to say it involved saunas with the mother with little but a tiny towel, and it was totally normal for adults and teens alike to walk towel-less to a room after a shower nevermind who was around etc. I honestly felt like my cheeks were constantly burning!

So are we weird or are they!? I have no living memory of ever seeing my parents naked, I don't think I ever saw my (now adult) kids naked after about 10, never my siblings once we'd grown up.

Don't get me wrong I didn't hate it, just a lot to take in in, in more ways than one. Anyway I guess I'll go and reflect, it should be totally normal I know, but I'm off to put my button up pyjamas on and watch midsummer murders -guilty pleasure-

I can't remember the last time I saw my parents naked, and I'd like it to stay that way!
I saw my bil fall out of the bathroom drunk a couple of years back wearing a towel which really wasn't covering what it needed to, I pretended I hadn't seen him and he pretended I wasn't there
Obv my kids have seen me naked as recently as yesterday, and since my son still does the naked willy waggle dance up and down the landing after every shower then clearly I've seen them naked fairly recently too.

DH: this morning - we sleep naked

DCs: not around much these days, but also sleep naked so, with only one bathroom, when any if them are home we can generally count on a sighting on the landing in the morning.

DPs: parental home was a bit like ours - very little modesty on the bedroom-to-bathroom dash.

DPILs: haven't seen either nude, but have seen both in minimal attire.

We are weird. It always amazes me to watch women grapple with towels and their underwear awkwardly trying to make sure no body glimpses a bit of nipple or pubic area. I think we in the UK need to relax a bit.

yeuk, no bits dangling here op. my youngest is 14 and is very private. she does like crop tops and arse skimming skirts though.

we knocked on our kids bedroom doors from the age of 4 and they ours. nowt wrong with a bit of pride
and reticence.

it's usually the people who definatly shouldn't be naked that go for it too. like at the gym showers and a big arse is bent over right beside you. not good.

oh I love pyjamas and midsommer murders too.

I grew up with my mother and maternal grandparents and my little brother. I never saw the adults naked. I'm 10 years older than my brother I'd imagine when he was around 5 and given our age difference he's probably never seen me. My son, I can't recall 10ish?

I hate sports and gyms and that sort of thing. I don't play any sports and have not been in a gym since I left school (nakedness in the school changing room was not encouraged) so apart from occasionally going to a swimming pool when my son was small or things like the Blue Lagoon in Iceland or the Turkish baths in Budapest I'm very rarely in a situation of changing clothes in public. On beaches I'd put my swimsuit on under a loose dress before going there and it's not difficult to get the dress on and then remove the swim suit.

It is very possible that apart from the naked ladies at the Blue Lagoon changing room and in the baths at Budapest the only naked adults I've seen are people I've slept with. Frankly the vast majority of people will look better with their clothes on.

I never saw any if my family naked growing up. (Perhaps slightly repressed as we weren't allowed to wear dressing gowns/pjs downstairs if a boyfriend/girlfriend was visiting!)

I accidentally flashed my big sister when drunk but not sure that counts.

I see DH in the buff in our room and DS is 'nakey' a lot but I don't think we will be a family that embraces family nudity. It's good to have some boundaries!

No nuddy 'parade' here either. Never saw my parents naked. I have two preteen boys who are mortified if I catch them nude. I've always been relaxed about it. They have decided it for themselves.
I don't make a fuss if they catch me dressing but they will dash away if they realise I am in the altogether!
I don't walk around naked because I am always cold.

My parents hadn't seen me naked since I was about 10 years old....until 3 1/2 weeks ago when my DM saw me in my full glory as she delivered my DD during an unexpected home birth.

I do recall my parents walking round naked when growing up though and my dad still likes his speedos (ugh) and mum still invites me to chat to her whilst in the shower if I'm there (no thanks!).

DH family are very prudish tho and don't think he's ever seen them naked which I find very weird.

e, toilet and 2 sinks so at any time the whole family could be in there (and often were).

I will freely get my kit of in communal changing rooms and therefore wouldn't have an issue if (relatively new) DP's mum was in there too.

For the record I have no kids but DP (beautiful toy-boy type) would spend the whole time naked if he could and I have absolutely no problem with him lounging around in his birthday suit.

I come from a country known for cold weather, saunas and miserable gits. I stopped sharing a sauna with my dad and brother before my teens, but I'm sure I saw them naked occasionally after that, kind of by accident, and never thought anything of it. Can't remember when the last time was, though. I see my mom naked every time I go over to visit, and I'd never think twice about it.

It would feel weirded with MIL, because I know she'd feel weird about it.

DH I see naked every day, of course. (No kids).

I see my mum naked if we are chatting and she's getting changed. My mum and my sister had to come and assist me in the bath a year ago, I had 4 day old ds in the bath with me and he did a huge poo. I had no idea what to do so I called them in for help.

My dp comes from a cold country, slightly less famous for saunas but still keen on them, I was surprised by their attitudes to nudity but I'm pretty used to it now. It's great for me as I never ever felt shy breastfeeding, ds went through a stage of wanting to just hold my nipple which I quite happily let him do when with my in laws, I think I might have felt slightly odd about it with my own family.
