My DS is 8 and has toilet problems. He poos himself when we are out due to anxiaty ext and we are seening the Doctor about it. Tommorow we are going swimming and I am worried he will soil the pool. Aibu to say that if he is to go swiming he should wear a swim nappy as the pool would have to close if he had an accident.

Sorry, obviously he can go swimming with correct pants!! But the OP hasn't got them, therefore he can't go if there is a chance he could leak in the pool for obvious reasons!!! Hope you get it sorted x

Yeah, no ones saying don't go swimming ever

Just that it may pay to give tomorrow a miss then see why dr has to say and then it gives op a chance to look into the swim wear available and hopefully take the anxiety out of ot for the Ds. The dr may well have medication or tools to help and swimming can become something they can enjoy without worrying about nappies and accidents.
