To want to murder someone over lack of size 6 boys slippers

Yes, my 10 year old is at that awkward gangly stage and I have promised him a pair of slippers for his size 6 flippers feet for his birthday.

But can I find any? Can I f*ck. We have steep stairs and he is very good at tripping over, so I variously don't want either mules or massive lethal "comedy" Homer Simpson heads, lions, monster feet etc etc.

Neither do I want anything with a football logo or bastarding Ninja Turtles (message to slipper industry - we all hated them over a decade ago. Stop trying to revive them. The boat has sailed. They are gone and nobody cares).

They have some nice slipper boots on Joules, but the boys sizing ends at a 3 and the mens sizing starts at a 7-8. WTHF?? What is wrong with the sizes in between and why does nobody make anything? It's bad enough being a gangly pre-teen without the slipper industry joining in and ignoring you. Even Clarks can't be arsed. P.S If anyone can help, I would appreciate it as I need to go to the supermarket before I pick up from nursery, but also need to get something on order for the weekend...

Thanks puffin and buskers dog for your ideas

yes I think she is that size (though brands do vary a bit which does not help anyone!) - she reluctantly let me measure her, she WILL NOT be measured in a shop! The 32b she has fits her really well, no sags, or bulges etc and the wires sit perfectly against her breastbone.

There is a definite gap in the market for boys size 6 shoes slippers. I ended up finding a pair of Tesco ladies black slippers for DS which looked quite masculine.
Oh, and his walking boots came from Mountain Warehouse- again ladies ones in black. Turns out his mate has a pair of navy ones which came from TKmaxx ladies dept.

Yanbu. I had this problem with ds. Also with dsd and swimwear. She needs a ladies size 10, but all swimming cozzies in those sizes are tarty with boob bits whereas she is un developed in the boob area, and I wouldn't like here wearing something so sexualised anyhow. And sporty styles are soooo expensive!

missy, both my DDs are size 10 and about 5 ft 3 and they wear very plain swimming costumes in about age 12-14 from the school uniform section of supermarkets or Matalan, no low cut top and high cut leg malarkey! and not too pricey compared to sporty ones.
