To think JOULES are taking the p*ss with their £15 per pair pants...

Twats.

I love a bit of Nan's curtains print or Breton stripes as much as the next person but when I got an email today - for valentine's day a bargain £25 for two pairs of boxer shorts Shock

FFS sake joules. No. Enough. Even this twatrose shopping middle class sucker is not paying £15 a pair for undercrackers.

Ermm...don't then? Grin

ShatnersBassoon · 02/02/2014 11:38

£12.50 a pair isn't bad if you work them out on a cost per wear. In some men's pants there's a fair bit of fabric and they're harder to construct and have more expensive 'trim' than a T-shirt. It's not that bad if they're decent quality.

Dumpylump · 02/02/2014 11:38

That would make them £12.50 per pair, not £15, so.........bargain! Grin

IneedAsockamnesty · 02/02/2014 11:38

15+15=30

ArthursaidMartha · 02/02/2014 11:39

Worra - no intention of but some idiot will I bet Smile
Just struck me as a rather cynical move pricing pants at £15 a pair. They must think their customers are a) stupid b) have more money than sense.

Really I won't be losing sleep over it I promise Grin

They are £15 a pair.

If you use the amazing discount you get two for £25 so yes, they would be only £12.50. Bargain. However they still remain priced at £15 per pair without.

Thanks, pedants.

I ask my DD what my Son In Law wants for Bdays/Easter etc and it is usually underwear or socks that cost at least £18.

Usually Hugo Boss, he does have lots, so they must last.

ArthursaidMartha · 02/02/2014 11:46

Blimey, my poor dh in his M and S multipacks Wink

jacks365 · 02/02/2014 11:48

It's on a par with what I pay for mine. I find the ones i get fit better wash and wear better and are far more comfortable.

WaitingForMe · 02/02/2014 11:52

We pay about that for DH's pants. It's cheaper on a cost per wear basis as they last well.

Cheap stuff is too expensive.

ArthursaidMartha · 02/02/2014 11:56

Blimey. What do your dh's do to their pants to wear them out (beyond a clean pair each day and washing)?

Dh's might eventually lose the elastic a bit at the top and then I chuck them out but not for years.

I retain my rip off stance.

So don't buy them. What's the issue? None of your business what the rest of us do with our money.

Branleuse · 02/02/2014 12:11

Joules isn't the cheapest brand on the market, and yes you can buy cheaper pants if you wish.
You can also find more expensive pants.

KeinBock · 02/02/2014 12:16

Boxer shorts for £15 wouldn't bother me, particularly, if well made.
Joules is just so obvious, though. I find almost feel embarrassed for people in Joules, tbh.

Twattyzombiebollocks · 02/02/2014 12:19

If the quality of the rest of the joules range is anything to go by you can certainly get better quality pants for less money.

MrsGeorgeMichael · 02/02/2014 12:21

i've been internally debating beautiful hand stitched pants on etsy. won't tell you the price Grin .

ArthursaidMartha · 02/02/2014 17:52

Mrs George Michael - HA! I don't want to know but do understand why they would justify the high price tag Smile These are just cotton joules pants, it is 100% of paying for the name. I certainly don't think their clothes are better quality than other high street places.
Apparently though I have underestimated the strength of feeling fantissue about people's pant buying-loyalties. I shall return to the normal world and continue about my business!
As you were.

I hate Joules. They remind me of Dave and Sam Cameron. Nuff said.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 02/02/2014 18:02

I must be a mug then and dbf as both buy joules boxers. They fit him well and wash and last really well. He got 6 pairs in December as on a 3 for 2 so worked out at £10 a pair. Even topman they can be almost £10 a pair.
