I agree to some extent, you don't buy all the rubbish you did the first time around blah, blah, blah BUT and it's a big one - if you don't have family members offering free childcare, it really isn't an option.

I wish I could emblazon that on my T Shirt sometimes and point at it when people try to patronise me (particularly when they have no idea about childcare costs as they get it for free!)

So just to be clear - IT'S ABOUT FUCKING CHILDCARE COSTS, NOT ABOUT AFFORDING NAPPIES AND A FEW SLEEPSUITS!

Sorry rant over and I do feel better now :)

YANBU but count yourself lucky that people aren't telling you over and over and over again that more than child is a "living nightmare" and "your life is over". Some of my colleagues assumed I would not return after mat leave and as a result, some of them have not spoken to me since I returned in 2011.

I admit I have just snorted at the comment about getting the 15 hours overlapping or whatever the suggestion was. Our first nursery bill for the two of them INCLUDING the 15 hours for two of them was 1,100 for three days a week.

YANBU
Some ppl have no idea about childcare costs. They are massive.
That's without activities and food for another person.
Groceries alone are insanely expensive.

YANBU whatsoever. If we do have another it will be when dd starts school at least. Grrrr.
