Dd has just started secondary school. They require alot more kit etc than primary. One of her friends never has certain things. So dd always lends hers. Thankfully they do sports etc on diffefent days. Aibu to feel this.

Not at all, she sounds lovely.

However, is there anything you can do, like perhaps speaking to the friend's family (or the school if the family are part of the problem) to support the friend to be more self sufficient. Your DD is doing a very kind thing for her friend but it'll become a bit wearing if she's being asked to do it year on year.

Your DD sounds lovely, but she isn't doing the kid any favours in the long-term

She'll never get her finger out of her arse all the while your DD is acting as an unpaid PA.

Actually, your DD could be doing this other girl a dissservice. It is extremely kind of your dd to lend her things but do you know why she doesn't have them? is it because she forgets them? leaves them at home and doesn't bother because she knows she can borrow them from other people? Obviously if she can't afford then its different and very sad, but do be wary of your DD feeling like she has to lend her things.
