I have two sick DC and I'm pretty poorly myself, anyway all four pairs of my PJ bottoms are in the wash or drying so I've had to pinch a pair of DH's Next mens PJ bottoms.

They are heaven. Baggy, warm, long enough to keep my toes warm as well.

I'm just logging onto my Next account to have several pairs dispatched for ME - UR behaviour?

I feel the cold something awful but have a thick duvet and a blanket on top of that if I'm still a bit chilly.

FunkyBoldRibena · 30/01/2014 17:02

I have This. I call it The Bear. It's a JOY.

I have one that is longer that I call The Beast. I heart my Beast.

I have been wearing mens' clothes for about 20 years, it started with DMs when I was in construction. They are the best.

magimedi · 30/01/2014 17:30

I am another bed nudist, but being long in the body, I always wear mens T shirts & jumpers. Much nicer.

ChrisTheSheep · 30/01/2014 17:54

This is a genius idea: I can't believe I never thought of it before! Women's pyjamas always seem to be ridiculous combinations (e.g. reasonable bottoms but with skimpy vest top) or else so thin you could spit peas through the fabric. I don't usually wear pyjamas when I'm in bed, but I do wear them around the house in the mornings, and I want to be warm and covered, dammit! I'm going to check out the men's ones in Sainsbury: thanks frances for the tip!

MardyBra · 30/01/2014 17:56

I don't get the question. Why would you think you are being unreasonable?

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 30/01/2014 20:37

Yanbu. I have men's pjs and socks. I've also acquired several of dh's t shirts which have shrunk in the drier.

ContinentalKat · 30/01/2014 20:39

I have two pairs of the TU tartan pjs frances mentioned. They are gorgeous!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/01/2014 20:45

DD2 (16) virtually lives in her Gap men's tartan PJs.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 20:50

I've got to get some pyjamas for my hospital bag. I'm going to buy mens. The idea of sitting round the post natal ward in a nightie gives me the willies!

mrspremise · 30/01/2014 21:05

DH has entirely pinched my dressing gown. My lovely furry leopard print dressing gown I'm not bitter

Sallyingforth · 30/01/2014 21:07

Wearing no clothes in bed - don't you get cold?

Not when I cuddle up to my lovely warm DP!

Belacoros · 30/01/2014 21:08

I would totally try this, but I'm a size 8 and 5 foot 2. Do mens come in XS?

Iwasagnome · 30/01/2014 21:14

North Coast men's pj bottoms in brushed cotton from M and S are great.
Usually £19 .50 but sometimes half price if you're lucky.

SayraT · 30/01/2014 21:17

I hate wearing anything in bed, I thought I was normal then we had a discussion at work and it turns out its only me and one other who sleep naked. The others all thought we were strange!

I do have pj's, I just put them on when I get up and then again when I come in from work and I take them off to go to bed Grin

No, I don't get cold cause I have an electric blanket (not used it for ages though) and I use a 13.5 tog goose down duvet all year round. Sometimes I have cold feet and I wear socks, apparently that is even more odd.

ModreB · 30/01/2014 21:29

Sayra are you my long lost twin Grin apart from the electric blanket.

Littlegreyauditor · 30/01/2014 21:39

Definitely not unreasonable. Women's pyjama trousers are just too short, even when bought in extra long sizes they are too short.

Currently I am rocking (yes, rocking) a pair of man's Star Wars pyjama bottoms. They go right down to my feet, they are beautifully baggy in the leg and soooooo comfortable.

Another major plus is that for a certain type of man geek Star Wars pyjamas with a thoughtful repeated Vader/ Chewey/light sabre/Boba Fett motif are infinitely more effective than something itchy, drafty and uncomfortable from any number of specialist outfitters.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 21:42

I NEVER wear anything in bed.

Coumarin · 30/01/2014 21:45

Where are you buying your cloud lined PJ's and ace jumpers Anne Seriously, point us in their direction.

Women's dressing gowns are better however. Men's DG's are too heavy and rough.

I sound like a right delicate little lady. You know what I mean though.

Littlegreyauditor · 30/01/2014 21:50

Yes coumarin velvety, not towellingy. Also women's can have hoods, men's usually don't.

fieldfare · 30/01/2014 22:08

Not unreasonable at all! I'm currently sporting a grey tartan Jeep pair of dh's, one of his tshirts (off the back of the bedroom door so it smells of his aftershave, he's working away again) and my Gap men's Xl hoodie that nearly comes down to my knees.
Men's pj's are loose, long, have pockets and don't have stupid designs on them.

I am also rather partial to his jumpers too. Although, I used to pinch my Dad's when I was younger so it's not a surprise really.

ViviPru · 30/01/2014 23:07

FunkyBoldRibena

I'm jealous of The Beast. The Bear's only shortcoming is its... err... shortness

ComposHat · 30/01/2014 23:56

As a gentleman mumsnetter I have found forgone the pyjamas (I always found my legs got too hot in the night) and got a nightshirt. It is a revelation! I've never known such comfort.

.

Lora1982 · 31/01/2014 00:28

Yabu. Love my mens pj bottoms. He sees them delivered then realises they are mine

RealAleandOpenFires · 31/01/2014 03:01

Compo I wear nightshirts aswell, bloody comfy aren't they. Grin

ChubbyKitty · 31/01/2014 03:22

Yanbu. I don't buy any jeans. I steal them off DP.

Women's skinny jeans weren't invented for the ample of arse.
