To worry about health effects of car upholstery coating

Probably should be in health. But more fingerfall here. We've just bought a new (2nd hand) car and my OH arranged to have a protective coating put on the outside (paintwork) and the inside. Seemingly, it makes stains much easier to clean.

He says the garage say it's odourless, but I'm really worried about the release of fumes/toxins from the coating. I was not consulted on this. I'm the one who is going to be in the car mostly, usually 3 but sometimes 4 hours a day. I'm the one it is going to be most exposed to it. I asked him to cancel it, but it is already done.

Does anyone else have this stuff in their car?

Yes, and it did smell but only for a few days. I never even thought about it releasing fumes or toxins after the smell faded to be honest. I don't make a habit of licking the upholstery or eating off it, and if it's releasing toxins into the air then it won't make a good coating will it? As in a short amount of time it will be gone.
