Actually, that's not exactly true about both coats. When I mentioned that perhaps she left it after choir on Monday, I was right, she did. I had forgotten to mention that DS had also left his coat at the same time. Sooo this morning I found the 2 coats that were left on Monday (hers and his), both of them on the hall floor behind a bench, but the pea coat is definitely a gonner!

This thread came at the end of a very tense few days for me and I was feeling very "AHHHHHHHH". I am now promising to myself to be a much calmer kinder parent

Oh my life I completely feeeeeeel your pain!!!! I have a "thing" with trainers... dd is always loosing or breaking hers it sends me insane. Seriously - she does this hyperventilating thing before any trainer news that she NEVER makes any other time because she knows what she is about to say will send me absolutely bonkers. The noise is very useful as it gives me time to say to myself mantra stylie - "she is a kid, they are trainers, it isn't that big a deal". I am glad to find a kindred spirit, that you are cheerier today and hope that those damn coats stop haunting you.

I made DD1 pay for new PE kit when she lost two lots plus a sweater in Yr6, but they're a lot older by then. The PE kit came back (after 6 weeks!) so I waived half the cost. She hasn't lost anything since.
