To think my bank needs to do something about my account being hacked

Instead of metaphorically shrugging/insinuating it's my issue/causing massive inconvenience to me by cancelling my card and the new one not turning up for 10 days.

It happened last year too which is why I don't want them to cancel my card.

I only shop in 'trusted' stores online and in real life - in the last month I've shopped on Amazon/PayPal/cath Kidston/John Lewis/Duo Boots

In real life only Aldi/Tesco/Sainsburys/B and Q/Homebase.

My card is never out of my sight, I work from home so my bag is never left with anyone else. There is no Keylogger or virus software on my Iphone or computer.

In short there is NO Reason for £150 to suddenly leave my account to a fake Pokerstars account.

Is there anything I can do to make the bank do more than 'shrug'?

Have you bought petrol with it?

Loads of people get their cards cloned at petrol stations.

I never use anything that isn't a supermarket petrol station for this reason.

i only get cash from cash back in supermarkets. it avoids one layer.

i also changed banks from lloyds who did sort out the fraud on my account but subsequently made it practically impossible for me to access any funds- eg stopping every online transaction unless it was from my ip address.
nationwide so far so good xxxxx

I'm not clear - is this a debit Card, or a credit Card? If it's credit then you're in a much stronger position.

Right I've talked to them and they stopped the transaction. They said it was a card payment but not a swipe so they have got the details somehow.

She didn't know how though she said it happened a LOT.

They've cancelled my debit card, authorised my other transactions that I've been making for the last couple of days and sent me another.

She said it was likely I hadn't done anything and that a lot of websites were not as secure as people thought - she mentioned qvc which I use a lot and PayPal.

Debit card, not credit card.

Thank you all for listening though Smile
