At a children's film today I watched several families arrive with enough sweets to sink a battleship. Two children near us did not stop eating sweets for the duration of the film. All I could hear was rustling bags and slurping and munching. Yeah, sweets are fine in moderation but that many??? Is it really necessary?

It drives me mad too

What's wrong with a pack of Polos or a couple of boiled sweets?

I was sat behind a family of five the other week who spent the whole time passing food and drinks up and down the line.

We have been force fed this concept of eating whilst watching a film, apparently it's a 'fun' thing to do. In reality it's the cinema's way of extracting more money from you.

Some cinemas search your bags on entry so that you don't bring in your own snacks.

How many people constantly munch whilst watching tv in the evening. Probably not as many as you think.

The whole point of the cinema is to sneak in as much as ya can and eat it all before the film has finished.

I don't go often. Maybe twice a year so I stock pile Grin

Yanbu. I went to the cinema once with someone who smuggled a pizza in up his jumper. It stank!
