Should I complain about this teacher?

My DS is 19 and doing a vocational car mechanics course. He is still at school having been held back for failing the year (a few times).
Anyway, he worked all summer while his friend Danny was at the beach, saved up and bought a real wreck of a car to work on in class. Three months later the car looks great.
Now my dilemma is that I have learned that the class teacher has turned a blind eye to the boys getting car parts wherever they could, and many of them are stolen! Not only this, but when they should have been studying the theory side of the course she has been allowing them to spend time larking about, singing and dancing. Now she is encouraging my son to race the car in a dangerous illegal drag race.
WIBU to complain to the head?

i did this once, post a character's problem from a book, and got banned with no warning.

Stars66 · 26/01/2014 13:25

But he's the one I want...

paulapantsdown · 26/01/2014 13:25

Well that pink lady who your son might have knocked up is actually 32 in real life you know! You've got some serious problems here, maybe the school could have a televised dance off to cheer everyone up?

BronzeHorseman · 26/01/2014 13:26

How did you manage to post then Nigella ?

Sparklingbrook · 26/01/2014 13:28

Exactly where. There would be uproar about how disgusting it was and dance teacher is a disgrace.

Which book Nigellas?

NigellasDealer · 26/01/2014 13:31

oh i was the girl from 'Voyage in the Dark' by Jean Rhys but it was too obscure and nobody got it.
Once there was a funny one that was the girl from 'Cold Comfort Farm' by Stella Gibbons.

Omg I watched this last week! One of my fav movies.

youarewinning · 26/01/2014 13:32

I would just let him know your there for him as there are worst things he could do, like his friend he could get hopelessly devoted over a beauty school drop out and start declaring she's the one that he wants.

Whitershadeofpale · 26/01/2014 13:36

I think you should but out. I bet the car's a real pussy wagon.

LeBearPolar · 26/01/2014 13:48

I think you need to be more concerned with the hopelessly chauvinistic attitude I hear your DS and his mates have. Did you know that they were heard bragging that that car of theirs was going to make the "chicks cream" and that they'll be "getting lots of tit"? Shock

Get him on the feminism boards on MN, that'll sort him out.

wherethewildthingis · 26/01/2014 15:35

Thanks lebear. The trouble is, every time I try to talk to him about any of this, he just shouts "a wop babaloobop, a woo bam boom" at me, and runs off....
