I love my dh to bits, we hve 4 dc and are very close and have been together for 16 years. However, I have to say that recently I am starting to be aware of the age gap (16 years) for the first time , he turns 50 this year. I wouldn't be without him though, ever.

I'm maid (matron?) of honour at my BF wedding in 3 weeks too, she is 35, her husband to be is 74! Yet I've never known a happier couple. They have turned each others lives completely around. She is painfully aware that they will have a limited time together though.

I think I'm trying to say that if you are perfect for each other and love each other, then any age gap issues can be worked through.

Wowzers! It must be a constant cloud to think you probably only have 15 years max with the person you love.

On a more base level I don't think I could be physically attracted to someone that old.

It is! Most people were very shocked when they got together, once the shock had worn off they realised what a great couple they make.

At first there was no physical attraction, they started off as friends and it kind of developed over several years, it took them both by surprise I think.

Our dear family friends have a 25 year age gap. He is 93 now but actually in better health than she is. They have been together for thirty years, very, very happily.
