Aibu to of let her walk the 4 mins it takes to walk home from school alone one day a week , ds1 and 2 are at an after school club on that day, she asked if she could come home on her own.
Only one little road to cross, lots of other kids and parents walk the same way.

I didn't think I was but dds teacher rang me to check I gave my dd permission to walk home on her own and made me feel like I was wrong for doing it.
I did actually tell the office she could but didn't let her teacher know.

i used to walk over a mile to school at age nine i was supposed to walk with my sister (older) but i reality we would walk separately we went as a group randomly walking to collect our friends go to the shop for sweets run from the nuns (we would short cut through a convent where we shouldn't have been) cross main roads walk in snow up to our knees sometimes (convent again the snow drifted and formed a crust guess which child fell through it?) the point is im alive and okay and it sounds like you have a nice safe short distance and lots of other people around which is a bonus
