to ask who thought white was a good school shirt colour?

My DDs have only been in school since September and already their white polo shirts are a sorry mess of stains. Surely a darker colour would be more practical for small children to wear daily? Am tempted to bin the lot and start again. It is of course possible that my DDs are particularly messy/clumsy and everyone else's white shirts are immaculate...

Polo shirts are in short like the spell checker on this Kindle, depressing and irritating

Yes, all school uniforms should be a greyish-brown colour. White is madness.

Just saw the post about white baby-grows. When dd1 was born my mother was obsessed about her being in white. One of the many reasons my mum lives in a different world to me.

That's the reason I stopped buying Polo shirts after DD's Reception Year.

I switched to school blouses, and they are bright white throughout the year. I was even reduced to boiling her Polo shirts in a big pot with bleach! Nothing worked.

I think blouses look far smarter anyway and personally think of Polo shirts as casual wear, but that's just my opinion.
