He seems to be perfectly reasonable and Linda is bit manic. And in fact, the majority of the women on the show are not doing anything to show females in a good light?

I haven't watched every episode, but much to my surprise the only one to seem to be a reasonable, sane, intelligent grown-up is Liz Jones.

The Frank Carson dressing room fiasco showed how low the bastard was prepared to go.
Initially, i thought that Linda was being a drama queen when she reacted badly to Luisa asking her about the Frank Carson dressing room incident. That is until i found out the details of the story.
So no OP, Jim is not coming across better than Linda

It was nasty areyoubeingserviced but, without excusing it, she had been picking at him all evening and accused him of calling her an arsehole which we all were able to hear he did not.

Her comments about having sex with other men with her husband watching were horrible too, she seems to be sinking to the "having no shame" level of some of the younger contestants

I think I would like Ollie to win, he seems nice and has behaved decently throughout. I think he and Sam just look boring as they don't get much airtime because of not being as debauched as the others!

I am not overly enamoured with the Nolan women but JD is a devious little shit head who is clearly practised at several EA techniques.

The reason it seems that Linda is always 'picking' at him is because he continually shuts her down (and any other women) when she tries to voice an opinion by either walking away (whilst making a snidy remarke under his breath) or by insinuating thst they are hysterical, mad or over emotional. If he had any shred of respect or common decency he would, firstly, let her speak, acknowledge Linda's anger/annoyance or distress, discuss it and it would be over, but that would mean acknowledging that anyone with a vagina has the right to autonomous thoughts and feelings that do not need to be sanctioned by the great and powerful penis - Jimbob ain't ever going to do that.

I'm glad that Linda and Luisa don't let him get away with it. He won't change but at least he's getting the metaphorical kick in the gonads that he deserves.

I think Jim and Linda are as bad as each other. He is an obnoxious knob by all reports but the Nolans have had their moments too so I don't think she is a saint. As seasicksal says Linda has told the others her husband was innocent but pleaded guilty to spare the family the ordeal where in fact he was filmed taking the money.

On a separate note Frank Carson was a friend's Dad's close friend. He was a lovely man and a true gentleman, her family's opinion is that he would have spoken out if there was any doubt about this.

It says a lot when Liz is the most decent, clever and witty person in the house. I have never been a fan of hers but have warmed to her and also think she's very pretty when she smiles.

Yeah, I'm now less inclined to think of Liz as a malicious bitch, she's really just a bonkers cat lady with horrendous self esteem. I do wonder what this will do for her career though as by exposing her personality she's kind of diluted the SHOCK value of her writing.
