To ask you to give me a serious case of "(wo)man the hell up!" (personal)

I'm 22 and currently on the contraceptive implant. I've had it in about a year and a half and had no bleeding etc. Then, suddenly, two and a half weeks ago, bleeding.

What's even more frustrating is I have finally made the decision to do something serious about my (very very high) weight. I've lost three stone in a couple of months and am thrilled - as is my partner. BUT, since this bloomin' bleeding started, I'm bloated and full of water and have put three pounds on which is NOT shifting. Damnit, I am ON the stone (i.e. x stone 0 pounds) and I really wanna be in the next stone down!!!

I'm lucky enough that it's not bleeding heavily - mainly spotting - but it's the bloated, sluggy, water filled feeling. And my belly is poofing out like it used to and it was starting to look flatter =(

Sorry for being grumpy, DFiance is on nights and I'm this close to opening the bumper box of Thorntons truffles I have in the cupboard...

Glad things are settling down again. Don't be surprised though if you bleed again with more weightloss due to the loss of fat freeing up more estrogen again.

Throw the chocs, OP. It's more wasteful to put them in your body than in the bin.

Wow, well done for resisting the choccies! If you can do that, you can do pretty much anything...

Fudge - I was on the depo injection but I have joint problems and they were concerned that the depo could exacerbate that because it can decrease bone density /mass (I think). Apparently the implant isn't as bad for that. My hands feel no better / no worse though haha!

Balaboosta - thank you! 3 and a half stone off now and still decreasing. I get married in the summer and I'm hoping I can drop another 3 or 4 stone at least in that time. It's been a long time coming!
