Woke up this morning with youngest on the bed moaning about a sore throat. we went downstairs and I looked down her throat. it was nice and swollen with nice white spots. ick. took her to doctors today around 10 o' clock. she has medication and she perked up a bit. hoping she is better by tomorrow as we are going away! she is on medication for the next week Shock. I honestly think it is a bit long for a 5 yr old, but it is what the doctor says.

The yogurt helps settle the stomach and can prevent the side effects of nausea and diarrhea, IF the medication agrees with one. Some people vomit with fever.

Don't stop the medication! White spots are usually caused by streptococcus bacteria. Last year I was ill with strep throat for a MONTH. The bacteria just wouldn't clear so I was given one after another courses of AB. If not treated it can get pretty nasty, so don't stop the medication. If treated, it does not do any long term harm, don't worry.
