DP spent £15 on one today. Because it's pretty. And a total bargain cos it's half-price! And he doesn't have any other pans that size (it's tiny).

AIBU to think they must have seen him coming? He doesn't even know what he's going to use it for, he muttered something like "gravy" when I asked, but he only makes that once or twice a year anyway.

After I have had a google and it is either gravy for one or clarifying butter I think.

He bought a pan because it's pretty? I think that's the cutest thing I've read on here. Bless, the poor lamb.

One tin of soup.

One bowl of porridge.

Two small mugs of hot chocolate.

One scrambled egg.

Is it not stick? Where did you get it? I'm feed up of cleaning DH's porridge saucepan everyday. (He leaves it to soak, and apparently a non -stick pan would mean he could wash it up himself )

I have one. I have fried one egg in it. Once. Not sure why I still have it but it is cute!

Would it even be big enough for hot milk for coffee/hot chocolate.

I have one, use it quite often. Things such as a tin of beans, soup and scrambled eggs.

But it's a saucepan! I've only ever fried eggs in a frying pan. I may have to rethink my utensils..

Also because we want one to fry garlic in and wanted a copper one, but mostly cos it was sweet

Of course, we haven't used it yet but it sounds ideal for an egg!

All the things Lynnette mentions I'd do in the microwave, except the egg which I'd scramble in a non-stick omelette pan.
(I'm sure Lakeland does non-stick pans in all imaginable sizes, lynette)

Is it a beautiful copper one from Sainsburys.? If so, He INBU, because it is sooo pretty.

I bought one for my mum for Christmas because she makes proper coffee every morning and heats up milk for it, so this pan will be just the right size, and she loves it

We do have one and it is very handy for doing toddler portions when only 1 DC will eat that particular food. Other than that, er.... I imagine we'll be getting rid of ours in 2 yrs' time!

I've seen that pan, in tesco, for £14.00. And I want it too cos it is soooo cute it'll be perfect for warming milk for DD's breakfast.

It is pretty, I'll grant him that. It's all coppery and shiny outside, and I think stainless steel inside. Or something. It said tri-ply on the label anyway.

Sainsburys have loads of them on sale atm. I suspect they were supposed to go in stockings or summat.

Okay, sounds like it's potentially useful for frying an egg. Or heating small amounts of stuff. Am not going to touch it though, I might spoil its coppery shininess and then he will sulk. Thing is we have a smallish milk pan for cocoa already, and you can make decent amounts in that.

I've got a skinny one, that's quite tall and is perfect for single mugs of hot chocolate (bought on whim for that purpose). I can't think of anything else it would be good for.
